We are hereby sending you a summary of the legal holidays in 2020, in view of the provisions contained in the Romanian Labour Code.
Thus, the legal holidays in 2020 are the following:
- The first two days of the Year 2020, namely Wednesday the 1st of January and Thursday the 2nd of January;
- The celebration of the Union of the Romanian Principalities, namely Friday the 24th of January;
- The Orthodox Easter Holy Friday, namely Friday the 17th of April 2020;
- The first two Orthodox Easter days, namely Sunday, the 19th of April and Monday, the 20th of April;
- The International Labour Day, which is on Friday, the 1st of May;
- Children’s Day, which is celebrated on Monday, the 1st of June;
- The first two Pentecost days, namely Sunday, the 7th of June, and Monday, the 8th of June;
- The Feast of the Assumption: Saturday, the 15th of August;
- Saint Andrew: Monday, the 30th of November;
- The National Day of Romania: Tuesday, the 1st of December;
- The first two Christmas days, namely Friday, the 25th of December, and Saturday, the 26th of December 2020.

NEW MINIMUM SALARY STARTING WITH OCTOBER 1st, 2023
