Last updated: 7 May 2015

Mrs. Dana GRUIA DUFAUT was invited to share her entrepreneurial experience in Romania at the 3rd edition of the conference « Antreprenoriatul feminin; Femeia la putere – o lume mai buna » (“Women entrepreneurs. Leading women – a better world”), organized on May 7, in Bucharest, by the BURSA daily.

During the debates hosted by the former TV producer Irina Reisler, in the company of other guests – the Ambassador of South Africa in Romania – Mrs. Thenjiwe Ethel Mtintso, the economic advisor of the USA Embassy in Romania - Mrs. Diana Bates, the PNL Vice-President, Mrs. Andreea Paul – Professor at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Mrs. Ana Cernat – Executive Vice-President of Ideea Bank, Mrs. Ruxandra Grinzeanu – Executive Manager of Sky Tower Building, and Mrs. Laura Mihai – Manager of CEC Bank – Mrs. GRUIA DUFAUT told the story of her 24 years on the Romanian business law market and shared her professional experience in a domain traditionally dominated by men.

Mrs. GRUIA DUFAUT stressed the importance for women to preserve and assert their femininity, while being aware of the equal rights of men and women, guaranteed both in professional and personal life. She stressed the role of education in creating a favorable framework for the assertion of women in all domains. Mrs. GRUIA DUFAUT considers that Romania has an important development potential and that women enjoy a privileged status compared to other countries, a status that requires, nevertheless, an active involvement of women in society.

“Being a successful entrepreneur supposes a great will. In Romania, it is easier to assert oneself as a woman entrepreneur than in other countries. It’s easier than in France (…) As a business lawyer, I understood that the potential for development is here and not elsewhere (…) Women are often more motivated and if they decide to build a successful career, they place all their energies into that goal”, declared Mrs. GRUIA DUFAUT during the conference organized by BURSA.
