LEGAL HOLIDAYS IN 2019

We are hereby sending you a summary of the legal holidays in 2019, in view of the provisions contained in the Romanian Labour Code.

Thus, the legal holidays in 2019 are the following:

The first two days of the New Year, Tuesday 1st of January and Wednesday, the 2nd of January;
Celebration of the Union of the Romanian Principalities, Thursday, the 24th of January;
The Orthodox Easter Holy Friday and the first two Orthodox Easter days, namely Friday the 26th of April, Sunday, the 28th of April and Monday, the 29th of April;
The International Labour Day, which is on Wednesday, the 1st of May;
Children’s International Day, which is celebrated on Saturday, the 1st of June;
The first two Pentecost days, namely Sunday, the 16th of June, and Monday, the 17th of June;
The Feast of the Assumption: Thursday, the 15th of August;
Saint Andrew: Saturday, the 30th of November;
The National Day of Romania: Sunday, the 1st of December;
The first two Christmas days, namely Wednesday, the 25th of December, and Thursday, the 26th of December 2018.
